


I’ve taught IB Bio HL and SL for 9 years in an international school and online. Sessions often revolve around data-based questions, tricky genetics topics and IA planning. I also run focused revision blocks before the May and November exams, going through markschemes so students see clearly where marks are gained or lost. Many of my students stay with me from Year 1 through to their final papers.


I’m Claire, an A-Level Biology tutor in Leeds with 11 years of experience across AQA and OCR. I’ve taught in sixth forms and now work privately with students aiming for grades A and A*. I first encountered AP while studying abroad in the US, then began helping Swiss students who take the course alongside the cantonal or IB curriculum. Lessons are practical and discussion-based: we unpack challenging units like cell communication and gene expression, then apply them straight to released FRQs. I also advise on how to balance AP study with local school exams.
